The splitting of carbon dioxide to form oxygen gas and carbon compounds....

I have a few questions I could not get and this is one of them.BIOLOGY QUESTION..(the splitting of carbon dioxide...?)?

Oxygen gas comes from the oxidation of water in photosynthesis, not at all from CO2. In respiration CO2 is evolved from chemical intermediate instabilities in the TCA/Citric Acid/Krebs cycle, not from anything to do with oxygen gas.





Nothing of what you describe is a natural process.





So the answer is D
