if its true how do you download it and what is a patch?Is there a patch for unreal tournament 3 for the ps3 to download and have split screen or is just a roumor?
A patch is an add on for a game, and if available would be on the PS3 store. Last time I looked, there were add ons for games there, but none for split screen. Its unlikely that you do do something like that in a patch, its a pretty demanding set of coding to animate two halves of the screen seperately, and would probably have to be done in the original game code. At least I have never heard of any game on any system that managed to do split screen as an add on.
added go for CoD4 - you can do an offline multiplayer with up to 4 people. or CoD WaW, which can do a 2 player split co operative on the storymode and zombie modes, and also a 4 player multiplayer offline.
