Open the first program, keep it open, then open the second program, now down on the Taskbar (empty area) right-click and click ';Set Windows Side by side'; (on Vista), on XP is similar.I need a program to ';split'; my computer screen into two sections so I can have two active windows at once?
if you mean like 2 monitors, you need a graphics card that can support 2 monitors (i dont just mean a fast one it has to have diffrent hardware) and then you just plug them both in and go to controll panel and theres an option for it there. but if your using windows with one screen you just hit the middle button on the top right of the border for the windows and then you can drag the edges around and make both windows fit on screen at once.(if thats what your askin im guessin ur new to windows, or it might not be what ur lookin for but i had to try) idk of any program that would do that, if you want like 2 whole screens (like 2 start bars) ive never herd of that and i think your only option is to get a dual monitor graphics card.





if its not windows, it depends on what your usin. in ubuntu you can download alternat types of desktops and some dont support the stretchy windows, so you have to switch back to normal gnome or a diffrent type of desktop.
