Why did my belly button ring split in two?

May 23 i would have had my belly button ring 5 months. i lifted my shirt up and my belly ring was gone and the skin had split in two! I dont know why or what the hell happened.Why did my belly button ring split in two?
its called rejection belly piercings eyebrow piercings and any other kind of surface piercing ( a piercing that is just a chunk of the surface of your skin) are prone to this. it means your body pushed the piercing out, its a foreign object. things that cause it are a bad piercing in general, not enough skin pierced, positioned wrong, or just that your body did not want it that bad. you can have them for years and it can still happen. you should have been keeping a close eye on it you would have noticed it getting closer and closer to the surface of your skin and you should have taken it out before it totally rejected out that way you wouldnt have as bad of a scar. also just because it happened once doesnt mean it will happen again tho it might.Why did my belly button ring split in two?
ick! sounds like your skin tore. you probably didnt have much feeling there from the nerve damage created from the piercing. If its bleeding or looks like it may get infected you may need to see a doctor for stitches or antibiotics. You probably caught it on your shirt or something changing. sorry.. that stinks.
