Should the USA split into several different nations?

one going towards left wing socialism, one going towards right wing national socialist, one going towards corporate fascism, and one reverting back to capitalism.

that would fix the debates, wouldnt it?Should the USA split into several different nations?
We kind of have. It's called big cities and non big cities. I believe all big cities vote Democrat according to past poll results. Simple enough. Politicians spend so much time trying to dis-balance the affects of NYC, SoCal, and Chicago that it is kind of like two nations.

I think we should invade Canada and take over their economy to balance the burden of Mexico for when we take that too. A North American (basically 52 state US) union would be ideal. Hell, throw Japan in there too, so 53!Should the USA split into several different nations?
When the US first came into being in many many ways the people looked at it as 13 different nations (states). The Civil war pretty much ended all that , states Rights went out the door!
So if the government doesn't give us what we want, there should be more governments?

The problem is that too many people have abdicated personal responsibility to the government already...Those that actually work for change find little time to engage in meaningless debates...
Then who would support Washington?
Absolutely not.
After ten years in Afghanistan look what happened to the Russians. We are going on our sixth year in Iraq, you never know what might happen.
I think it should be. But, the federal government would never allow for a reduction of the tax base.
Because splitting into two worked so well the last time?

No.
Tried that once, ended up with around 500,000 dead in the fields alone, with about 3-4 times that dead of disease and such.
No...go lay down by your dish! lol
Yes, like the north and the south. Let the conservative Christians have the south, I don't want to move. PS I live in the south.
No, we will not split into several different nations and we will remain the United States of America. This country was meant to be united, not divided.
Maybe over the next 20 to 50 years anything is possible!
Sign me up for the corporate fascism/capitalism section of the country.

We will build a fence, not so much across the Mexican border, but between us and the tax and spend libs that will hate our prosperity and freedom even more if they have no say in it anymore.
No we are the UNITED States. What would be better is we did away with the 14th Amendment which has been used as nothing but a power grab by the Federal Government since its inception, and instead use the 10th Amendment to its full potential.
f**k no
NO
No. divisive conquest is not really an answer to outside pressure to conform to a d rug Mafia's insistence on ever weaker victims.
Sounds GREAT! Lets take away one of the biggest contributors to world aide, and instead put in another North Korea, another Nazi Germany, and another Communist China. That would surely fix many of the world problems - ie Overpopulation, that should kill off 100 million people once we reinstate socialism, fascism, and communism!

Are you stupid?
NO - what would be the point of calling it the United States?
Of course it wouldn't ';fix'; the debates. As long as we live in a Democracy, there will be debates. There aren't enough debates. Not about the important issues anyway. The politicians, mass media and pundits only want to discuss the most controversial issues. The issues that the government will be least likely to resolve. They do that so that we lose faith in the government's ability to resolve problems. They do that so that we won't participate in our Democracy. They do that so that a very small number of us can control the rest of us.
Actually, I do not see that many divisions. I would sum it up in 2 halfs.

If you want the socialist persecution and oppression that our forefathers fought to get away from, follow Obama and Clinton.

If you want the great nation that our forefathers put forth...well, we need a good conservative leader because McCain isn't it. He is better than the socialist twins, but CERTAINLY too liberal for what the founding fathers created.
last time we tried that brilliant idea we had the civil war. We are the United States.
Not an Ivy League idea.
LOL! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
Nope we are the United States
No. Regardless of differing opinions and diversity. We are The United States
NO!!!! I like being part of the U.S. (I'm California)
Alternately we could just give power over from the federal government to the states. Allow different states to have different laws on what is legal and tell the feds to stay out of it. This way, if you dont like the way things are in Michigan you can go to Alabama and vice versa.
Let the 11 Southern States leave without violence, and 1/2 the problems are solved! All that is left is the yankees, hippies, and liberals... Let them destroy each other, then we come back and seize the empty land...
No. Is there a competition today for most ridiculous question? If there is I would be happy to join.
