I Want to split my Desktop between two diffrent displays and don't know how to do it ?
Im using XP SP2 with an Intel (R) 82865G Grapics Controller. How do i split my pc Desktop between two displays ?
If you have Graphics card that supports to displays you will need a cable that splits the signal to the displays after that all you need to is configure XP in Screen settings. How do i split my pc Desktop between two displays ?
1. you have to have a card that supports it and 2. Right click the desktop and select properties then settings.
Bring up you're display properties by right clicking on your desktop and clicking the settings tab, there should be 2 windows numbered 1 and 2 click on the second window and at the bottom there should be a checkbox that says extend my desktop to this monitor. Hope it works, good luck.
I'm pretty sure that graphics controller won't do the trick.
But incase I'm wrong. Plug an S video cable in at the back of ur PC and another in at the monitor u want to connect to. then go to the computer ur rujnning on and right click on the desktop %26gt;properties and start working with the Settings tab, you may need to use Advanced options too.
you'll need to install a graphics card with two 'outs', as far as I know only PCI models are avalaible !
If you are looking to have your desktop divided into 2 screens then you need a graphics card with 2 VGA outputs.
If you are looking to clone your desktop on another screen for this also you may need 2 outputs if not then you can get a VGA splitter which is easily available in any computer shop.
